This post regarding to TCS ILP GUWAHATI. And I am sharing some stuff like Route map, Salary, Food facilities, Parties, Leaves, Accommodation, Advantages and Disadvantages, Your session timing and Dress code.

The purpose of putting this topic on ink is that, as a result of there was no such additional info offered at the time of joining, I hope it's going to help somebody who has to understand it and are somewhat lazy to stay mailing or is also even back to raise the authorities every and each detail.

How can you reach from Hyderabad railway station to your ILP center ???

It’s a 5 km drive from Guwahati railway station and it will take approx 15 min (Depends on the traffic at you time). If you hire a taxi then it will charge approx 50-75 rs.

Guwahati is an ancient urban area, largest city of state and one of the fastest developing cities of India. The city is between the banks of the Brahmaputra river and the foothills of the Shillong plateau, with LGB International Airport to the west and the town of Narengi to the east. Guwahati is a major commercial and educational hub of Assam such as the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati.

So, as a freshers , you will get approx 17k during ILP Training without accommodation 13k with accommodation. After completion of your training, it will be 23k. 

On an average,

After 1 year -Rs 25000 ( if you have joined in between June to December )

After 1 year - Rs 27000 ( if you have joined in between January to March )

* The above difference is because of the final anniversary appraisal !!!

!!! Leaves for you during Pre or Post ILP !!!

Let you know that there is no leave allowed in TCS during ILP. In case of emergency, you can take up to 2 days leave. Maximum you can avail sick leave without permission but after then you have to apply for sick leave with some hearings from Admin and HR. If you are absent for two consecutive days you have to give medical certificate also. Most importantly if you are absent for three consecutive days your learning group will be changed to the learning group of same stream which is following your group there. Yes, you are guessing right.

Overview of leaves:-

Earned leaves:- 16 days

Casual leaves:- 7 days

Sick leaves:- 10 days

So, total 33 days leaves with in year. So, I think it it is sufficient. Now talk about LOAN system.

!!! Loan facility for you at ILP !!!

Loan facility is also available for all of you guys. So, don't worry about it. But their is a restriction that you can avail 30k only for your house rent at zero percentage from TCS i.e. known as PAGADI or ADVANCE. But, It should be paid with in 1 year.

!!! Food facility for you !!!

People have major concern concerning the food once planning to a brand new place. Each state in BHARAT has a distinct variety of food. In North, folks eat a lot of wheat, whereas in South, the intake of rice is a lot of. My friend expertise regarding food wasn't that nice. However I’d wish to share few points which may throw some light-weight on this tasty topic.

Let me begin from the breakfast. 

Everyday you have got your breakfast within the training center premises. It will be good but not very good. They provide to you Puri Bhaji, Soup, Idli sambhar, Paranthas, Puri with chhole, Bread and butter. Bread and butter is also optional on 3 days a week along with options such as banana, omelet, boiled egg. Milk or coffee or tea is are provided every day. Now breakfast menu for Saturday and Sunday,both, is sambhar dosa with tea or coffee.

Now, talk about Lunch-

Lunch includes chapatis (having butter on 2 days), curd, pulses, rice and sambhar every day. Except these, special items which are included (not every day) are lemon or fried rice, rajma, cauliflower, ladyfinger, bottle gourd, custard, vegetable raita, Papad, fingers...etc.

Finally, Dinner time

Dinner also includes chapatis (having butter on 2 days),curd, pulses ,rice and sambhar every day. Except these some special items as mentioned above in lunch. Also sweet dish are provided 2 days a week. Now these can be rasgoola or gulab jamun.

Food in canteen is terrible...however there are plenty of places nearby where you can get decent food (North Indian as well)... training is OK not too bad... if you could manage engineering by studying just before exams this will be doable. Do not forget to try out the rice available...

(Note that this menu is basically for hostel number 1. For rest hostels the menu basic menu stays same with small changes in special items provided.)

!!! Accommodation system !!!

TCS accommodation Provided.. Yes/No and other issues. Found Many People getting confused abt the Accommodation provided by TCS. Here’s something that can help you out.

TCS provides accommodation during ILP. It is in TCS hostel. They charge you for the accommodation. The same is deducted from your salary in a month or two after you complete your ILP. Room will be available on sharing basis of 2 persons or 4 persons. Rooms are neat and clean. There will be two beds, a table, a cupboard and attached toilet/bathroom. Rooms are cleaned daily and bed sheets are changed every week.

Accommodation would be arranged by TCSL at the ILP Centers and the rent towards the same would be deducted from your HRA. If the second phase of ILP happens at the base branch to which you are allocated, accommodation would not be arranged by TCSL. Travel expenses to the location of ILP will not be reimbursed.

You are surely going to get accommodation for the entire 3 months of ILP. But your Post ILP location is in suspense  ILP is for 3 months but ASE-Trainee designation stays for 1 year... so the remaining 9 months are termed as second phase... Accommodation would be provided only for 3 months.. but not for the remaining 9 months of the year irrespective of your post ILP location whether it is the same as your ILP or not.

1) Rooms are well supplied with basic provisions like Bedding, Bed sheet, Pillow (with cover), bucket, mug etc and are spacious enough with windows to let some air in. Moreover your bed sheets, towels are replaced every week.

Hostel 

2) Rooms are nice.

3) Other than breakfast and dinner, it's a good place for completing assignments too. 

4)  If you're signed to the bus service, then it visits the Hostel gate to pick you up.

!!! Dress Code for you !!!

Monday to Thursday is a formal day (You have to wear formal shirt and trouser), 

Friday was casual day (You can wear jeans and collared t-shirt),

Wednesday was the Tie day (Everyone must wear tie that day). 

No work on Saturday and Sunday. 

Yuppie!!! You can use to enjoy these two days most in ILP.

!!! Classroom sessions for you !!!

The classroom sessions are from 9:00 am to 5.45 pm. The schedule is as follows,

09:00 am to 11:00 am : First Session

11:00 am to 11.30 am : Tea/Coffee Break

11.30 am to 01.15 pm : Second Session

01.15 pm to 02.00 pm : Lunch Break

02.00 pm to 03.30 pm : Third Session

03.30 pm to 04.00 pm : Tea/Coffee Break

04.00 pm to 05.45 pm : Fourth Session

The bus comes at 07.30 am sharp. You need to get up early in the morning, get ready and wait for the bus. The bus takes you to the training center. There you have time for breakfast. The sessions start at 9:00 am sharp.

!!! Some suffer which you are going to face !!!

Be prepared to face these or you will suffer a setback when you will join ILP.

1) You cannot keep your I-card in your pocket. It has to be hanging around your neck.

2) You cannot carry Pen-drives, CD or any such thing to ILP center but You can use Cell phones and do it switched off during class and other session.

3) If found speaking in other than English, Admin people may sanction any action against you.

4) No G-Mail, Orkut, Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, Matrimony, Trading sites are allowed.

5) You cannot wash or Iron clothes in hostel.

May be you did not need these several details however I wished to have read this before coming to Guwahati for ILP.
