Information Resource Center (IRC) in TCS

An information resource center (IRC) is a facility inside Tata Consultancy Services limited (TCS), staffed by a specialist, containing many information sources. It is established at all ILP center as well as base center for you. So, you don't need to take any books or notes from home with you. They will provide you all relevant books related to new technology as well as your courses.  

Many novel will also be there. So, whenever you will get time, go there and study these materials. Even if you want then you can also issue these all books for some days. But return these after reading as courtesy so all take can advantages.

The Aim:-

Learning resources center's general aim is to make sure learning academic appropriate atmosphere that permits learner get pleasure from any reasonably learning resources.

Purpose:- 

Information and communication development opportunities and information flow are the big challenges arising from a passionate review of most academic questions, whether from theoretical frames or material facilitation. TCS libraries are then considered one of the most vital resources inside educational facilities. The requirement to develop TCS libraries is imperative therein, on the one hand there's a necessity to convey data via a good diversity of technologies and resources, and on the other hand, there's a myriad of latest faculty and associate roles to support. Inside this view, came the project of learning centers. The target is to boost TCS information libraries to a global and a lot of technical standard. Information Resource Centers can even be institutionalized in varied establishments for teaching and learning functions. The aim of a resource center is to advance the training expertise of associates in any IT sector.

Reasons for establishing resources centers :-

• The book and written material become not the sole information resource.
• Learning resources centers think about consolidation of resources, data and communication technologies with academic practices within centers.

Do's in TCS IRC (Information Resource Center)

• Always bring your ID card with you. It is required for identification, borrowings, IRC material and access purpose. 
• Make sure you know about its material you have borrowed. Return them on time as courtesy to others.
• Look after IRC materials, equipment, furniture, and facilities. Help keep them in good condition for further uses.
• Handle IRC material with care. 
• Respect the need of others. Please speak in a low voice when conversing with others.
• Share the computer terminals as they are for all users.
• Put your cell phones in silent mode while after entering in IRC. 
• Respect copyright law.
• Seek help from IRC staff.

Don'ts in TCS IRC (Information Resource Center)

• Leave your belonging unattended.
• Fold pages or scribble inside a notebook.
• Touch audio video materials with fingers.
• Leave the borrowed material in the IRC.
• Eating or drinking is strictly prohibited.
• Engages in aggressive behaviors.
• Disturbs the sitting arrangements.
• Take photos in the IRC premise.
