This post regarding to TCS ILP CHENNAI. And I am sharing some stuff like Route map, Salary, Food facilities, Parties, Leaves, Accommodation, Advantages and Disadvantages, Your session timing, Dress code, Posting process, Entertainment stuff, Some advices and Loop hole ???.

The purpose of putting this topic on ink is that, as a result of there was no such additional info offered at the time of joining, I hope it's going to help somebody who has to understand it and are somewhat lazy to stay mailing or is also even back to raise the authorities every and each detail.

How can you reach from Chennai railway station to your ILP center ???

It’s a 22 km drive from Chennai central railway station and it will take approx 45 min (Depends on the traffic at you time). If you hire a taxi then it will charge approx 200-250 rs.

This center is opposite to TCS Karapakkam branch. This is the landmark. There is a bus stop near this center. T51 and other White board buses only stop here. The Stop name is TCS, Karapakkam T51 connects East Tambaram and Thiruvanmiyur. There are lot of Service Autos/Share Autos from Shollinganallur and Tidel Park to this place. If you are coming by Train, alight in Tiruvanmiyur station Anyone coming from Koyambedu can take Route 570 bus and alight in Karapakkam stop. 

!!! How much salary will you get in TCS !!!

As a freshers , you will get approx 17k during ILP Training without accommodation 13k with accommodation. After completion of your training, it will be 23k. 

On an average,

After 1 year -Rs 25000 ( if you have joined in between June to December )

After 1 year - Rs 27000 ( if you have joined in between January to March )

* The above difference is because of the final anniversary appraisal !!!

!!! Leaves for you during Pre or Post ILP !!!

First of all, I would like to share that there is no leave allowed in TCS during ILP. In case of emergency, you can take up to 2 days leave. Maximum you can avail sick leave without permission but after then you have to apply for sick leave with some hearings from Admin and HR. If you are absent for two consecutive days you have to give medical certificate also. Most importantly if you are absent for three consecutive days your learning group will be changed to the learning group of same stream which is following your group there. Yes, you are guessing right.

Overview of leaves:-

Earned leaves:- 16 days

Casual leaves:- 7 days

Sick leaves:- 10 days

So, total 33 days leaves with in year, which is sufficient.

!!! Accommodation system !!!

Transport: You have to get your own transport to the ILP Centre. While going home, you can use the transport provided, but only for a short distance. It covers Ambattur, Mogappaire, Anna Nagar West. Recruits coming with a bike or car, have a good parking system here.

Bus Service for the evening shift batch up to around 20 Kms from Ambattur.

!!! Food Facility for you !!!

People have major concern concerning the food once planning to a brand new place. Each state in BHARAT has a distinct variety of food. In North, folks eat a lot of wheat, whereas In South, the intake of rice is a lot of.

Lunch:- The canteen here is pretty decent. Its worth only for Snacks and South Indian meals. The South Indian Meals cost you about Rs. 40, only which seems to be the worth for the pay. Others, though the quality is good, they keep very low quantity. Food is still good in the canteen.

Don't worry about lunch.. A lovable food court is there with reduced prices on all kind of foods (none more than 50 Rs). 

Meals Rs 43/-, veg rice Rs 35/- , veg burger Rs 30/- and Chick burger Rs 45/-, which are the major items. (May vary)...

The food is typically south Indian comprising of idli, sambhar, dosa and rice. Even if you go for the gol gappa's and traditional chaat you will find sambhar as liquid in it. Once My frnd purchased momos here from the food court of Brooke fields.They were the worst momos that My frnd have ever tasted in his life. They were filled with potato stuffing. They really tasted yuck and  cost Rs. 85 only for 6 pieces. Well this was just an example.

Who gave his first selection as Bangalore and Delhi they were sent to the Chennai and who gave his selection as Bhubaneshwar and Mumbai they were sent to the Mumbai branch sadly. That was therefore embarrassing.

!!! Some advices for you !!!

1) When the completion of ILP, you ought to not look forward to a project that is said to the stream or that you're acquainted to. Whichever stream it's, you have got to induce into the project initial...

!!! Loop Hole !!!

As told by my friend to ME,Chennai branch is the part of TCS rather it is a Loop Hole. One project is running there that features a time span of ten years(10 years). !!! Can you imagine guys !!! and the capability of professional in Chennai TCS is 27000 that is virtually 16 % of total TCS professional can work there. Presently 17000 are operating there. 10000 seat are vacant. So it is known as a loop hole. If anyone enter during this branch, he/she can't leave so you can easily consider work pressure. Pressure is way beyond other branches. But one positive sign is that your promotion chance is extremely high here.

!!! Dress Code for you !!!

Monday to Thursday is a formal day (You have to wear formal shirt and trouser), 

Friday was casual day (You can wear jeans and collared t-shirt),

Wednesday was the Tie day (Everyone must wear tie that day). 

No work on Saturday and Sunday. 

Yuppie!!! You can use to enjoy these two days most in ILP.

!!! Classroom sessions for you !!!

The classroom sessions are from 09:00 am to 05.45 pm. The schedule is as follows,

09:00 am to 11:00 am : First Session

11:00 am to 11.30 am : Tea/Coffee Break

11.30 am to 01.15 pm : Second Session

01.15 pm to 02.00 pm : Lunch Break

02.00 pm to 03.30 pm : Third Session

03.30 pm to 04.00 pm : Tea/Coffee Break

04.00 pm to 05.45 pm : Fourth Session

The bus comes at 07.30 am sharp. You need to get up early in the morning, get ready and wait for the bus. The bus takes you to the training center. There you have time for breakfast. The sessions start at 9:00 am sharp.

!!! Some suffer which you are going to face !!!

Be prepared to face these or you will suffer a setback when you will join ILP.

1) You cannot keep your I-card in your pocket. It has to be hanging around your neck.

2) You cannot carry Pen-drives, CD or any such thing to ILP center but You can use Cell phones and do it switched off during class and other session.

3) If found speaking in other than English, Admin people may sanction any action against you.

4) No G-Mail, Orkut, Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, Matrimony, Trading sites are allowed.

5) You cannot wash or Iron clothes in hostel.

6) You cannot entertain any guest in your room
