The research groups in Kolkata work on:-

Signal processing, communication, computational and analytics aspects of Internet-of-Things (IoT) leading towards people-centric intelligent cyber-physical systems.


There are five research projects:

 Cyber physical Systems :-
  • IoT Platform Enhancements – Lightweight protocols, Distributed computing, Privacy and Security of IoT Platform; Stream Reasoning and Processing Support in IoT platform
  • Intelligent Facilities  – Model-driven Energy Consumption Optimization for Buildings; Sensor-driven Emergency Evacuation planning for Buildings 
  • New Sensing Platforms (5 senses Computing) - 3D reconstruction from un-calibrated 2D images from mobile phones
Human Systems:-
  • Intelligent Healthcare through unobtrusive sensing – Elderly People and Chronic Disease people monitoring at home using Mobile phone based localization,  proximity sensing and activity detection, mobile phone based physiological sensing, Kinect based people identification and activity detection and Social Network Mining
  • Biosensing for Cognitive Load - EEG based cognitive load detection,

Hello Friends, The job location is an important factor and we all keep this in mind at the very first while applying for a job. Our job life is much affected by the location where we do the job. Information Resource Center (IRC) in TCS

Hello Friends, An information resource center (IRC) is a facility inside Tata Consultancy Services limited (TCS), staffed by a specialist, containing many information sources. It is established at all ILP center as well as base center for you. So, you don't need to take any books or notes from home with you. They will provide you all relevant books related to new technology as well as your courses.   Many novel will also be there. So, whenever you will get time, go there and study these materials. Even if you want then you can also issue these all books for some days. But return these after reading as courtesy so all take can advantages.
