The research groups in Kolkata work on:-

Signal processing, communication, computational and analytics aspects of Internet-of-Things (IoT) leading towards people-centric intelligent cyber-physical systems.


There are five research projects:

 Cyber physical Systems :-
  • IoT Platform Enhancements – Lightweight protocols, Distributed computing, Privacy and Security of IoT Platform; Stream Reasoning and Processing Support in IoT platform
  • Intelligent Facilities  – Model-driven Energy Consumption Optimization for Buildings; Sensor-driven Emergency Evacuation planning for Buildings 
  • New Sensing Platforms (5 senses Computing) - 3D reconstruction from un-calibrated 2D images from mobile phones
Human Systems:-
  • Intelligent Healthcare through unobtrusive sensing – Elderly People and Chronic Disease people monitoring at home using Mobile phone based localization,  proximity sensing and activity detection, mobile phone based physiological sensing, Kinect based people identification and activity detection and Social Network Mining
  • Biosensing for Cognitive Load - EEG based cognitive load detection,

Hello everyone, You all must be waiting for the joining date. Those who have got their joining letters, are happy and much excited about what would happen on the first day. There would be feelings mixed with nervousness too. As the name... IRA .. IRA. ..is bothering you...but you need not worry because I am going to share with you all the things about IRA .  What exactly is the IRA? It's a kind of exam... Initial Readiness Assessment to test your readiness for the Initial Learning Program . Right after some days of your placement, you all have to take the Aspire course which is a mandatory online course conducted by TCS. How to do resign TCS (TCS resignation formality)

Hello Friends, *** Resigning TCS formally *** The hectic documentation process you did during your joining, should be reversed over here too (Sadly, its not over yet). You have to find the person to contact for Resignation.  Login to your Ultimatix account,  go to  HR Managemement->  Employee Self Service->  Workflow.  You will get the name and email id of the person to contact for the same. Put in a mail to the person, and he will get back to you soon via phone and email to redirect you to the further procedures (Make sure you include your phone number in the mail). After getting the details of the new person, go and meet him/her.  There are two important things to keep in mind before release-  A month's prior notice, or else you will have to pay the basic pay of the rest of days. i.e., for example you want to leave the company on Aug 10, and you inform it at the beginning of the month(Aug 1).
