This post regarding TCS ILP Ahmedabad. I am sharing here about your salary, facilities, parties, leaves, projects, accommodation, advantages for girls and other stuff. 

1. Howmuch salary will you get during TRAINING & JOB

First of all, I am sharing about your salary because everyone do work for this. (Always TRUE)
So, you will get around 14k in hand if you take his accommodation and around 17k if you do not take accommodation, i.e. TCS is paying in ILP and after ILP a variable pay component of 6k will be included, means it will be max 23k in your hand. And in my opinion, It is sufficient because after paying accommodation and food facility, you can easily save 10k. So just chill, don't worry about it.

Important for mostly boys:- But, if you are a drunker or smoker then think about it... 

2. Leaves between your JOB

Now, I want to talk about your leaves which you can take during your JOB not in TRAINING.

You will have 16 day earned leave, 7 casual leave, 10 day sick leave in a year. So, I think that it is very good for you. You have too max leave of continuous 5 day is allowed in per quarter i.e. in 3 months...

Now, after completion of one year in TCS...You can take leave up to one year continuous but without pay... But you will continue as an employee after one year... But it is good that you use it in case of emergency...They won’t throw you out...

3. Loan facility for you

Now, go forward and talk about Loan facility...

There will a loan facility also available for you so if you want then you can take loan up to 30k for house rent surety agreement i.e. known as PAGADI or ADVANCE is given by TCS for zero percent interest. But it should be paid within a year and this is the only loan... Apart this, you can't take any other loan...

4. Advantage for Girls

For girls going in TCS is dream coming true... So you will be excited to know about those advantages. But pay attention because You are also going to be shock. Don't take any tension but please see that I marked star(*) so checkout that what is the mean of this???

4) *Various other packages of leave too...

5. Let's talk some about PARTIES and FUN

After giving a boring lecture about these all things, I want to talk about PARTIES mean FUN!!!
So, let's ready for FUN!!!

Every year TCS celebrates a family day... Where each employee can bring up to four family members and make them visit whole TCS campus and their cubicle where they used to work... At this particular day free transport service and free food is provided by company plus a picnic organized by company at water park or something like that.. Free of cost.. Full fun...

One of the interesting rule in party organized by TCS every month.... You can get drink in unlimited amount but you shouldn't get drunk...
Option of beer and whisky is there... But not at frequent interval... But at odd interval parties...

And they celebrate party in TAJ... Once a year applicable if TAJ is in your city... Chennai is also applicable... Taj coromondal...

6. Some important tips

"Nothing will happen even you get failed in ILP exams" very much soothing words came from ILP instructor... ''All you need to have a positive attitude and should behave properly''... This was the only criteria to get permanent into TCS after ILP... So all can get relax...

Those who are not interested in any stream suppose java and got java as a stream, can change his project other than java after ILP provided project is there or wait for projects on bench... And join as soon as project is available...

Don’t carry any books with you in ILP... They will provide you library so don't worry about it...

7. Accommodation tips


At the first day of ILP in Ahmedabad, accommodation here is very nice and food is also good at reasonable rate, the office is at the walking distance so no problem of traveling, infocity is nice. All branded shops and food courts are within 200m range (e.g. Levis, Reebok, CCD, John player, etc).

Accommodation in Base Center:- They wont provide any accommodation in base center and if you get you are FIRST PREFERENCE THEY WONT GIVE any money reimbursement... And if you didn't get the first option then you are eligible to get Rs. 1000 per 3 days i.e. Rs. 3000 or also can say that 50/- per diet.

8. Entertainment for you

Besides chat... TCS gives another option in entertainment zone in its portal for its employee... Solve sudoku, crosswords, organize online quizzes across TCS network, challenge your friend in quiz, get points, organize hangout with friends, check your programming skills and much more!!!

TCS internal portal ultimate is pretty good... Never faced problem anytime regarding overload or like... They must have distributed its load across various servers in different centers... And in case of next step its just opposite it seems...

LinkedIn is the only social networking site which we can access from TCS... or be it other company... means even you can't access your gmail... This shows the importance of networking... As in a group we are getting joining and posting in different places... So we can grow our networking by adding each other from now.... So keep inviting each other on LinkedIn...

TCS finally launches its chat application in its portal and it is working just great and will love to see u and chat with you all online every time...

 9. What is Batching and its effect ???

Now, A important thing for all of you that Batch performance matters more than individual performance in ILP... If batch performs good then you will be taught more if your batch performed well in java and oops and other technology then everybody will be taught web-technology... Otherwise java will remain the only technology in ILP before stream training.

TCS conducts interview at last day of ILP, where they see your ILP performance, CGPA and certifications based on these parameter they allocate project from the currently available project at that time.

No matter how intelligent you are or how dumb you are. The only thing that matters in ILP i.e. what is the average performance of your batch i.e. 30-40, based on which they allocate stream to whole batch. Same stream to whole batch is given... (Hmm...There is something to think about it !!!

10. Query related to Transfer 

You can’t apply for transfer till 2 years. You can try for transfer in between if you have proper recommendation. But you have to do before you get the project... Because once you get the project, you have to complete that project then only you can apply for transfer.

11. Some suffer which you are going to face!!!

Be prepared to face these or you will suffer a setback when you will join ILP.

1. Boys have to shave daily. If you fail to do so, your entire batch (40) will have to come for A- and D+ slot that means, you have to come at 7 AM and leave at 8:45 PM.

2. If you got even 1 min late, your salary may be deducted for that day.

3. You cannot keep your I-card in your pocket. It has to be hanging around your neck.

4. You cannot carry Pen-drives, CD or any such thing to ILP center but You can use Cell phones and it should be off during class and other session.

5. Boys are not allowed to carry any bag.

6. If found speaking in other than English, Admin people may sanction any action against you.

7. No G-Mail, Orkut, Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, Matrimony, Trading sites are allowed.

8. You cannot wash or Iron clothes in hostel.

9. You cannot entertain any guest in your room.

 * But all applicable after marriage only...

How to do resign TCS (TCS resignation formality)

Hello Friends, *** Resigning TCS formally *** The hectic documentation process you did during your joining, should be reversed over here too (Sadly, its not over yet). You have to find the person to contact for Resignation.  Login to your Ultimatix account,  go to  HR Managemement->  Employee Self Service->  Workflow.  You will get the name and email id of the person to contact for the same. Put in a mail to the person, and he will get back to you soon via phone and email to redirect you to the further procedures (Make sure you include your phone number in the mail). After getting the details of the new person, go and meet him/her.  There are two important things to keep in mind before release-  A month's prior notice, or else you will have to pay the basic pay of the rest of days. i.e., for example you want to leave the company on Aug 10, and you inform it at the beginning of the month(Aug 1).
