Hello Friends,

This document will give u small idea about first 6 months corporate life @ TCS !!!!!!!

First and foremost, I know many of you guys have this thought that TCS is like a Government office. You can come anytime to office and go anytime back to home.

Please erase that from your mind. Its not like as you feel. But we can tell this in a different way.

Those who wanna enjoy your life will surely enjoy it. What ever problems comes on your way, Just accept it and enjoy the life. This will make your life so happy. 

This person worked for TCS. Motorola was his client. This person works on all shifts, have loads of work to be done. But at the same time, enjoy his life. So this is damn happy.

Some of the important stuffs which this faced in his first few months of corporate culture:

1). You have read in many papers that TCS is a company full of youths with age groups 22- 26. The reason is as u all know that TCS has a bond of 2 years. So most of the guys Join TCS just to gain experience. 50% of the guys leave company, so that they go for abroad or other Indian institutes for further studies to do MS, MBA, Mtech.

2). The stuffs which they told in pre-placement talk is all false. 99% tough!!!!! TCS do not sponsor for higher studies. Most of his colleagues have left company. And they do but its very tough. You need to get approval from many. And again you will be in bench once you complete masters with less pay. 

3). Corporate life is very badEspecially have to tell for girls. This person is just staying in TCS just to complete his bond. Girls and guys be very careful with the new friends u have got be very careful.

By her- "Why I am stressing is, I had a good friend in my college (Don wanna tell her name). She was very good in my college. But the same girl I saw having a cigar and smoking outside ILP campus."

So IT life is very bad. Though it has some good things too.

4). Do not come with any expectation. Simple No expectations, No disappointments.

5). Have a good rapport with HR. It will really help u a lot. TCS just doesn't stop with alone studying. There are many stuffs like TCS maitree (Sort of NGO). Its really awesome.

6). First 2 years will play a vital role in your career. There will lots of politics which will be going around there. You might be having a tough life with loads of hectic works. But its all for good. Just accept it, show your performance and enjoy life.

7). Have a very good set of friends there because having loads of friends @ TCS is like sitting in heaven.

8). Girls please do not work in projects which has night shifts. (Personal experience from my friends). Do not choose such projects.

9). Committed ones who have their boy friend and girl friends there in TCS, You people will have an awesome time.

10). Girls this info is only for you: Try to marry Guys who are working in TCS Onsite. You can enjoy with your hubby in onsite till he comes here. TCS will pay you your basic salary.

11). You will get discounts for all Tata products. But its very less. You can rather buy it without discount itself. But you also can say that something is better than to nothing. 

12). Biz-skills:- These are important categories. They're very terribly good individuals. They're going to act like friends, tell their own stories however one mustn't get an excessive amount of attached them as they're terribly skilled and one ought to perceive that they're simply doing their job. One ought to attempt to act in their session, actively half in their sessions and will come forward to talk once given a chance to talk. It's value mentioning that the biz-skill lead takes a written note of one’s each activity within the class room. Therefore returning to categories at correct temporal arrangement, use of English language within the training campus, pronunciation of words, body language are going to be noticed within the record too. 13). ILP Rating :- Basically, TCS use 3 rating for his/her employees.
i). Rating 3 is give to normal employee who have good knowledge about his/her technical subjects.
ii). Rating 4 is give to additional employees who have more knowledge about technical subjects as well as outside market knowledge.
iii). Rating 5 is for extra ordinary employees.

14). If one is a non IT/CS guy, forget it. The probabilities are terribly bleak till one is extra-ordinary. One must be sincere and take this training seriously.

15). Always dress very carefully. Dressing sense is incredibly vital in skilled world. One ought to wear completely different shades of shirts and a few occasional ties and clean shoes. The dress should be correct,well ironed  and clean. The dressing sense mustn't be terribly eye catching.  Men dressing vogue and Women dressing vogue.

16). The whole ILP is based on the concept of sharing information and serving to one another.  So facilitate every and each one a bit like you facilitate your friends. 

17).  In ILP, Trainees are going to be divided into smaller teams of size half dozen. There'll be a team leader who is answerable for that group.

18). There is also 3-4 occasions of shows wherever one will got to gift his module, project etc. to the complete room. Therefore prepare for it and set up for it. It ought to be terribly interactive.
