TCS Post Location

Hello Friends,

For all those who got offer letter and have confusion that which location is good for project perspective.

Here is some information which I got from my all friends experience working at all over location of TCS. May help you in selecting your preferences regarding job locations.

*** Ahmedabad ***

It has only 1 office.
Pros:- Good number of projects, Good opportunities for career
Cons:- Dry state, Average night life

*** Bangalore ***

It has 10 office.
Pros:- Good Climate, Good TCS Presence in Multiple Locations, Good number of Projects, Onsite opportunities. Comparatively less expensive Living, Very much disciplined
Cons:- Average night life, No jeans allowed even not on Friday (You have to wear formals on all days)

*** Bhubaneswar ***

It has 2 office.
Pros:- Cheaper, One of the first planned city in India, Variety of foods adds to its cuisine, City of temples, Education hub of eastern zone, IT growth is taking place in a good pace.
Cons:- Less number of projects, Climate is very humid, Slum area still exist in large numbers, 

*** Chennai ***

It has 18 office with 1 R&D office.
Pros:- Good TCS Presence in Multiple Locations, Good number of Projects, Onsite opportunities. Comparatively less expensive Living
Cons:- Humid Climate, Traffic, Pollution, Below Average Night Life, Food problem for North Indians

*** Delhi ***

It has 10 office with 1 R&D office. 
Pros:- None as of my opinion except Night Life
Cons:- Very Small Presence, Limited Projects, Expensive Living, Pollution, Safety ( If you get allocated in Noida instead of Delhi Office), Poor Onsite opportunities

*** Hyderabad ***

It has 8 office.
Pros:- Lot of visiting places, Good number of projects for BFS domain, Good climate, Nice and helpful people, Best city to live in, Transportation is too good and easily available, Accommodation is also easily available, Internet facilities are too good in very low rate
Cons:- Average night life, Don't have much onsite opportunities, A little bit of language problem

*** Kochi (Cochin) ***

It has 3 office.
Pros:- Work culture is good, Very dedicated and hard work, Projects are there (Hardly it takes 1 month to tagged you in any projects), Places are also good if you are a non veggie and like to explore. Reasonable bus fare
Cons:- Language problem is there, Alcohol is banned, Too much rainfall

*** Kolkata ***

It has 10 offices.
Pros:- Very cheap living, Accommodation is also available at very cheap rates
Cons:- Bad Climate, No Night Life, Average Projects, No onsite opportunities

*** Lucknow ***

It has only 1 office.
Pros:- Cheap living, Transport easily available  at very cheap rates, No traffic, Nice places to visit, Accommodation is also available at reasonable rates, 
Cons:- Average below night life, Very limited projects, No onsite opportunities, Internet facilities are limited

*** Mumbai ***

It has 22 office.
Pros:- Good presence in multiple locations (Including Powai, Thane, Andheri East), Good Onsite opportunities, Awesome Night Life, Transportation facilities are too good at very low rates, Internet facilities are too good at reasonable rates, Many places to visit.
Cons:- Humid Climate ( Keep on Sweating ), Expensive Living, Traffic, Pollution, Little bit of accommodation problem is also there.

*** Pune ***

It has 8 office with 1 R&D office.
Pros:- Good Climate, Reliable, Economical living, Expanding TCS Presence in Shaydari Park, Hinjewadi (More Projects to come), Night Life and Onsite Possibilities, Lots of places to visit near by Pune especially in Mumbai-Pune express highway
Cons:- Traffic, Costly transport and not easily available, Internet facilities are not good and not easily available, Little bit of accommodation problem
