How to apply for a passport ?

You would be aware of the required documents to be submitted at ILP center as provided in my post. One of the important documents is your passport that is compulsory to bring from this time. A Valid passport must be with you on the date of joining. In case you do not have a valid passport on the date of joining, you need to at least submit the proof of having applied for a passport, that is, copy of the receipt of the Passport office (From this time, You need to submit passport copy). It should be with you if for some unavoidable reasons you are not able to complete the process of appointment or you have not received the passport before the date of joining. In either situations, you must bring the copy of that receipt. 

And after joining the ILP, you can submit the copy of the passport whenever you get it during the ILP. It is mandatory to submit the same before completion of ILP. 

I think, you all have been received mail from TCS regarding Passport like this. 
If you didn't apply for that till now then do it as soon as possible. Here, I am sharing complete process for this. If you have any problem in applying, let me know. May be, I can help you. But before that, go through this process. I am sure that there would not face any problem. 

Online Form Submission Process :-

Step 1) Register through the Passport Seva Online Portal. (Click on "Register" link under the Apply section on the Home Page). Click here
Step 2) Login to the Passport Seva Online Portal with the registered Login Id.
Step 3) Click "Apply for Fresh Passport/Re-issue of Passport" link.
Step 4) Fill in the required details in the form and submit.
Step 5) Click the "Pay and Schedule Appointment" link on the "View Saved/Submitted Applications" screen to schedule an appointment.

Online Payment has been made mandatory for booking appointments at all Passport Seva Kendras/Passport Offices.

Online Payment can be made using any one of the following modes:-
1) Credit/Debit Card (MasterCard and Visa)
2) Internet Banking (State Bank of India (SBI) and Associate Banks Only)
3) SBI Bank Challan

Step 6) Click the "Print Application Receipt" link to print the application receipt containing Application Reference Number (ARN)/Appointment Number.
Step 7) Visit the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK)/Regional Passport Office (RPO) where appointment has been booked, along with original documents.

Note:- Only emergency/medical cases and pre approved categories may visit Passport Seva Kendra without appointment. Service will be provided at the discretion of Passport Seva Kendra in-charge/Passport Officer.

In case of minor applicants (below 4 years of age), carry the recent passport size photograph (4.5 X 3.5 cm) with white background.
Resubmission of application form is required, in case the applicant does not visit the Passport Seva Kendra within 90 days from the online form submission.

Hello Friends, An information resource center (IRC) is a facility inside Tata Consultancy Services limited (TCS), staffed by a specialist, containing many information sources. It is established at all ILP center as well as base center for you. So, you don't need to take any books or notes from home with you.
