FAQ for New ILP Trainees

Hello friends!!!


 Even though all my posts have covered every FAQ but even then new ILP Trainee might ask. So, I decided to make a post out of it, so that anyone can access this easily. If I have missed any FAQ, feel free to comment and ask a question.

Some are:-

1) Can I reschedule my ILP?
Ans:- No, The ILP dates cannot be rescheduled.

 2) Where is my posting after ILP?
Ans:- Your posting can be at any of the TCS centers purely on project requirement basis and not on personal requests. This posting will be decided by TCS on successful completion of your ILP training.

 3) Are travel expenses reimbursed by TCS?
Ans:- Travel expenses need to be borne by the trainee. TCS ensures that you are intimated of the ILP Joining date at least 20 days in advance so there is sufficient time to book your ticket to the ILP and also complete the documentation required for joining TCS.

 4) How is the food arrangements organized during ILP?
Ans:- Food is available at subsidized rates and expenses towards the same have to be borne by you (the trainees).

 5) Can I have a preference on the ILP center?
Ans:- No. The ILP center mentioned in your Joining Letter is non-negotiable.

 6) What is the duration of the ILP?

Ans:- The duration of the ILP is 60 working days or total 90 days with weekends.

Hello Friends, *** Resigning TCS formally *** The hectic documentation process you did during your joining, should be reversed over here too (Sadly, its not over yet). You have to find the person to contact for Resignation.  Login to your Ultimatix account,  go to  HR Managemement->  Employee Self Service->  Workflow.  You will get the name and email id of the person to contact for the same. Put in a mail to the person, and he will get back to you soon via phone and email to redirect you to the further procedures (Make sure you include your phone number in the mail). Hello Friends, The job location is an important factor and we all keep this in mind at the very first while applying for a job. Our job life is much affected by the location where we do the job. And of course the company gives us choices for it where we want to get the job. We all apply for our choices for the desired location. Some people want it to be approachable from their home, family, relatives etc so that they can help them or get their help easily whenever possible, whereas some want the location from the career perspective where they can see their fast growth.  All of us have different reasons. What is IRA (Initial Readiness Assessment) in TCS

Hello everyone, You all must be waiting for the joining date. Those who have got their joining letters, are happy and much excited about what would happen on the first day. There would be feelings mixed with nervousness too. As the name... IRA .. IRA. ..is bothering you...but you need not worry because I am going to share with you all the things about IRA .  What exactly is the IRA? It's a kind of exam... Initial Readiness Assessment to test your readiness for the Initial Learning Program . Right after some days of your placement, you all have to take the Aspire course which is a mandatory online course conducted by TCS. It is for the freshers to make them aware of the basics of Computer science & Information Technology and a little but enough about TCS also .
