Experience at ILP Ahmedabad

I joined ILP Ahmedabad on Sept 1st, 2014. Though I don't know much, I've tried to answer questions to the extent I know. So, I would like to share some important points to all my fellows through this website. I hope, you will like to know about this.Let's start it from IRA(Initial Readiness Assessment) or study session...The most important phase...

1) IRA 1 is conducted on very first day considering the date of joining. Absolutely no questions from Know your TCS and Business skills modules in your IRA 1. That means, you have to prepare only 4 modules except this.

2) In IRA 1, 40 questions will be there... 2.5 marks for each question. Cut off is around 55 marks. Its not a big deal because If you read aspire once you'll answer most of the questions by seeing options. Only basic things in aspire.

3) IRA 2 will be conducted on second day of your joining.

4) Don't worry about IRA 2 because its marks are not calculated. This is just for differential batch. You'll get your result for both the exams there itself. For IRA 2, they wont bother you much.

5) You'll have speaking and writing assessments/ diagnostics after IRA. If you have a low rating then you'll be put into a remedial where you will be given regular assignments after work.

6) You'll have diagnostics for technical too. If you fail in those, again you'll be put into remedial.

7) For people who are in remedial, exams are conducted on 55th day of ILP. At that time, If you didn't clear then you'll be put into LAP. LAP means extra 15 days of training.

8) Normally there will be two phases in ILP each of 1 and half months. 1st is training and 2nd is project. If your stream needs a project, then after 1 and half month, you'll be shifted to GARIMA park campus. If your stream doesn't need project for completion of ILP then you'll be there at ILP center for the entire three months.

Coming to accommodation:-

9) Hostel for boys and girls is okay means not bad. T.V., Sofa set, Beds will be provided for each flat. Geyser also will be provided in every bathroom. House keeping will be cleaning your flat every 3 days and will change bed sheets, pillow covers.


10) You can go anywhere in day but you have to come before 10 PM in the night otherwise they will write your name in his late entry register. Whenever, late entry counts will be more than 3, an alert will be send to your HR manager.

11) Carom board, table tennis(4 tables) are available for you.

12) Food is eatable means either not too good or not too bad. Okay okay types. Henceforth, Wont be spicy wont be sweet.

13) The costs of food in hostel is 50 bucks where you will have at most 3 curries including daal, 3-4 rotis and unlimited rice. This is fine.

14) You can get food below the hostel also where most people are prefer to eat. The cost is around 60 bucks but a bit more tasty from hostel's food.

15) Lunch is provided in office and dinner in hostel are both managed by same people. So it would pretty much be the same. I've heard GARIMA park's food is a bit good.

16) Nearby office, there's Infocity where you can get most of the stuff which you want.

17) No alcohol and chicken is a bit less available here. You have to search for many places if you need non veg.

18) Distance between hostel and ILP center is around 3 kms but bus is provided in the morning from 7:30 to 8:15 for info tower 3 which you all have to catch on the first day. After that you will be either allocated to info tower or garima park office which you will be informed about on the second day. Depending on that your bus timing might change.

19) Sargasan road near infocity is the landmark. 

20) People mostly don't know madhuram greens, which is on sargasan road.

21) Places tho there aren't too many but Akshardham is nearby where you can see laser show and water show kind a things. Once you join ILP, people of your batch will start planning for DAMAN, DIU and Mount Abu.

22) Must follow all the rules of TCS but it is not too strict like schools or jails. 

23) Dressing according to rules and shaving daily is a must. TIE is compulsory on Wednesday and Presentation time for boys.

Hello everyone, You all must be waiting for the joining date. Those who have got their joining letters, are happy and much excited about what would happen on the first day. There would be feelings mixed with nervousness too. As the name... IRA .. How to do resign TCS (TCS resignation formality)

Hello Friends, *** Resigning TCS formally *** The hectic documentation process you did during your joining, should be reversed over here too (Sadly, its not over yet). You have to find the person to contact for Resignation.  Login to your Ultimatix account,  go to  HR Managemement->  Employee Self Service->  Workflow.  You will get the name and email id of the person to contact for the same. Put in a mail to the person, and he will get back to you soon via phone and email to redirect you to the further procedures (Make sure you include your phone number in the mail). After getting the details of the new person, go and meet him/her.  There are two important things to keep in mind before release-  A month's prior notice, or else you will have to pay the basic pay of the rest of days. i.e., for example you want to leave the company on Aug 10, and you inform it at the beginning of the month(Aug 1).
